A Simpler First Pour: A Note from Our CEO
We listened to your PairPlays feedback. See the easier way to start, what happens in your first round, and where your wine journey can go.
Thank you to everyone who has played the web version of PairPlays and told us what felt fun, what felt confusing, and what you wanted to see next. We took that feedback to heart. PairPlays now has a clearer welcome, a simpler way into your first round, and a better sense of where the journey can take you.
The purpose is clearer now: we want wine to feel easier to explore. You do not need to know the right pairing before you begin. You can discover it by playing.
Start with a pairing
Visit PairPlays and choose Play Now. If you are new, your first pairing opens without asking for your name or email up front. There is a short introduction if you want to watch it, or you can go straight to the round.
The idea is simple: read the pairing prompt, slide your glass left or right, and catch the foods that fit. Let the wrong match pass. Curiosity is all you need to begin.
Learn something from every round
When the round ends, you can see what you paired, missed, or got wrong, along with the reason behind the match. Those explanations turn a quick game into knowledge you can use at a restaurant, in a wine shop, or around your own table.
We have also made the path through PairPlays easier to understand. Your wine journey moves through five stages and 20 levels, with different pairing challenges along the way. You can see where you are headed, return to practice, and build confidence one choice at a time.
Make the journey yours
After your first round, you can add your name and email and follow the account prompts to keep your progress. If you already have a PairPlays account, sign in to continue with it. As you pass course rounds, you can earn PourPoints and pairing cards and revisit what you have learned in your Wine Cellar. Any wine offers shown in your account depend on availability and eligibility.
This is still the web version of PairPlays, and we will keep listening as people play. Mobile apps are coming soon. We are excited to bring this simpler start and clearer journey with us.
